Speak directly to rest of Canada

Re: “We can develop resources and act on climate change,” Opinion, Feb. 29

What Sandip Lalli is advising, that Canada can develop its natural resources and simultaneously act on climate change, has been said many times before and from many different sources. But nothing of significance has been done to allow this. The political leadership of our country is not responding.

The only way Alberta can get the attention it deserves is to create an educational campaign aimed directly at the people of Canada, especially those in Ontario. Bypass the entrenched partisan interests and show the working people why they will benefit when Canada plays a key role in satisfying the ever-increasing global demand for energy.
