Shows should refund tickets

In this time of crisis, why are we being held hostage by Ticketmaster (and other venues) to get money back for cancelled events? The Illusionists was due to play on March 23. When I called the Jubilee about a refund, I was told Ticketmaster is waiting to reschedule the event. Then, if and when it is rescheduled, we will be contacted and then can let them know if we want to go or cancel. If we do cancel, then it again would take up to another 30 days to get a refund. Why is this being allowed to happen? I want my money refunded now.
