Police search for suspect, witness after fatal shooting

Calgary police are seeking informatio­n about a woman they believe has knowledge about the fatal shooting of a man in Pineridge early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the 5700 block of 18 Avenue N.E., at about 1 a.m., after receiving several calls from neighbours who had heard gunshots. When police arrived, they found a male in distress.

EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene of the shooting.

After searching the area, police were unable to find a suspect. They do not believe the incident is gang-related.

Investigat­ors allege the incident occurred at a nearby residence. They have spoken with several potential witnesses at the scene but are seeking the public’s help in finding Cody Edith Bradburn, who they believe has knowledge in relation to the investigat­ion.

Police describe Bradburn as a 33-year-old woman, 5’5” tall, with a slim build.

An autopsy is scheduled for the victim on Wednesday. Anyone with informatio­n on the shooting is asked to call police at 403-2661234 or the Homicide Unit Tip Line at 403-428-8877. Tips about this shooting can also be submitted anonymousl­y to Crime Stoppers.
