CBC should be ashamed of itself
While watching the moving and sombre ceremony on May 6 over the lunch hour on CBC News, I was dismayed to watch the coverage switch at precisely 1 p.m. to a rerun of Murdoch Mysteries.
This was right in the middle of the ceremony while service members’ headwear was being carried to hearses on the tarmac at CFB Trenton.
I would think the national, publicly-funded broadcaster would have its priorities straight but apparently not.
I had to change the channel to a Vancouver feed to watch the remainder of the ceremony.
Regardless of potential advertising revenue implications, this broadcast should take precedence.
These heroes deserve nothing less.
Shame on you, CBC.
