Calgary Co-op postpones annual general meeting
The Calgary Co-op is postponing its 63rd annual general meeting until further notice.
The Co-op’s board determined that given the pandemic and physical distancing rules, holding a conventional AGM would not be safe for members.
The board also decided that holding a virtual AGM, with 440,000 potential attendees, would present logistical problems. The AGM will be postponed until it is deemed safe to hold.
An annual report and 2019 financial results have been released. The co-op’s net earnings were reported to be $52.7 million, which is down $2.6 million from the previous year.
