Ethan Hunt will face new villain
Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, film and TV productions have shut down, and now the delays are leading to casting changes for Mission: Impossible 7 and 8. Variety says Nicholas Hoult, who was set to play the villain opposite Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, has been forced to drop out of the sequels due to his commitment shooting Hulu’s The Great. Director Christopher Mcquarrie announced on Instagram that Hoult will be replaced by Esai Morales. Mission: Impossible 7 was originally scheduled to open July 23, 2021, but has now been pushed back until Nov. 19, 2021.
