Italy will ask 60,000 citizens — using volunteers and beneficiaries of the country’s basic income support scheme — to enforce physical distancing rules, after weekend street gatherings sparked an outcry. Italy now permits travel between regions, meetings between friends, and bars to serve drinks as long as a two-metre distance is respected.
