Free enterprise leads the way

Re: Premier making too many bad bets, Letter, May 27 Wayne Stewart’s statement that it is “dangerous” to “bet that the private sector can do anything better than the public sector” is so ludicrous it left me gobsmacked.

The evidence supporting the efficiency of the private sector is irrefutable. Simply contrast societies with free economic systems with government-planned ones.

Those who prefer a socialist-style economy can lead the way out the door to any number of failed states throughout history.
