Call for postcard designs to fund art and artists

-

Tiny works of original art are being produced as a fundraiser, both for the creators and for artists in need.

The Calgary Allied Arts Foundation is calling on artists of all ages and skill levels to create ‘Petits Masterpieces’ in the form of 5x7 postcards. They will be sold for $20 each with half the proceeds going to the creators and the rest going to support artists in need.

“As we are all too aware, we are living in uncertain times. Many people have lost their jobs and their financial stability. As an arts organization that supports Calgary artists, CAAF would like help in raising funds to support Calgary artists facing financial difficulties as a result of the COVID -19 pandemic,” said Stacey Walyuchow, a visual artist who is a member of the foundation’s board of directors.

All postcards meeting the guidelines will be displayed and offered for sale on the foundation’s website. Submissions will be accepted on an ongoing basis and are available for sale as they arrive.
