Landlord gives $900K

-

A leading property management firm has sprinkled COVID-19 relief among 40 not-for-profit organizations — and its residents. Greenrock Real Estate Advisors’ $1.5-million COVID-19 Relief Fund pledged $900,000 to charities under the Toronto company’s charitable trust. The firm identified key areas during the pandemic — “food security, mental health, Indigenous communities, LGBTQ2S communities, senior care, shelters and outreach support, and women’s health” — and also invited its staff and residents to nominate charities.

“Involving our residents and employees in the voting process for these donations is a reminder that we can make a big impact when we come together,” said Gloria Mogavero, Greenrock’s CEO. The company also delivered $600,000 in grocery gift cards to Greenrock-managed suites — $100 a month for each unit since April.
