Disney donates $5M to charities

Disney is donating US$5 million donation to various non-profit organizations supporting social justice efforts. Executives announced the donation amid worldwide Black Lives Matter protests after the police killing of George Floyd. The NAACP will receive US$2 million and Disney will match employee donations to organizations through the Disney Employee Matching Gifts program. “This $5-million pledge will continue to support the efforts of non-profit organizations such as the NAACP that have worked tirelessly to ensure equality and justice,” it said.
