A Cinderella Story actress dies at 70

Veteran actress Mary Pat Gleason has died at age 70. The star of A Cinderella Story lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday. Gleason also appeared on hit TV comedy Mom until her character, Mary, suffered a brain aneurysm during an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and died. She also appeared in TV’S Guiding Light, Will & Grace, How to Get Away With Murder, the movies Intolerabl­e Cruelty, The Crucible and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, and a host of TV films. She’s best known as Hilary Duff’s waitress co-star in 2004’s A Cinderella Story.
