The Sweet musician dead

A co-founder of the 1970s British glam rock band The Sweet has died.

Steve Priest was 72. The bass player and singer’s longtime bandmate, Andy Scott, confirmed the news Thursday on Facebook. The Sweet became famous thanks to hits like Ballroom Blitz and Blockbuster before disbanding in 1982.
