Death at Eau Claire Market ‘suspicious’

Police say a man is dead after gunshots were heard at Eau Claire Market on Friday night.

Officers were called around 8:10 p.m. to 200 Barclay Parade S.W., where they found a body in the underground parkade.

“We were called to a report of shots fired and we are currently investigating a suspicious death,” said Calgary police Insp. Melanie Oncescu.

Homicide investigators went to the scene and no suspects were in custody at last report. The victim can’t be identified at this time and an autopsy is to be scheduled.
