Seeing the good in police officers
Just a note regarding our policemen and women across Canada who are keeping the peace from the smallest towns to the biggest cities. During the COVID crisis, a lot of their work has been dealing with domestic disputes. In these instances, they never go in by themselves.
Policing is a very difficult task and easy to underestimate from the layman’s position. There are certainly bad cops, as there are bullies in, say, the highest U.S. government positions. Please remember that most of our police are highly trained individuals who have chosen the service through a desire to make a difference, and are valued community members. Ian Matheson, Calgary
