3 now charged with murder in death of man in December

RCMP have charged two more people in the death of a 30-yearold Calgary man whose body was found near the Springbank Airport last December.

Andrew Christal, 32, of Airdrie and Robert Daignault, 52, of Calgary, are facing second-degree murder charges in the death of Kasif Hirani.

A third person, Trista Nadene Tinkler, 34, of no fixed address, was previously charged with second-degree murder in the case. She and Daignault were arrested in Edmonton in January after police said the pair were believed to have Hirani’s stolen Kia Optima.

All three suspects are now in custody.

Hirani’s body was found on a rural road near the airport on Dec. 29.

Police believe his death was linked to the stolen car, which was recovered by Calgary police in mid-january.
