No reason to put monitoring on hold
Re: Scientists criticize Alberta’s suspension of monitoring and lack of consultation, June 17
The suspension of monitoring by the UCP and Alberta Energy Regulator, with the ridiculous excuse of COVID-19 danger, is one big pile of meadow muffins.
Staff at blood donor clinics, grocery stores, meat packing plants and hospitals are capable of doing their jobs and face a far greater risk of catching the virus.
This is nothing more than the UCP pandering to corporate friends.
It makes a complete mockery of Kenney’s message of environmental responsibility and all the hard work of scientists protecting Albertans’ health.
We deserve better.
