Find peace of mind in Boulevard 16

A well-organized home saves time and provides peace of mind.

But despite the best intentions of its occupants, it’s difficult for everything to be in place without a home design that supports this objective.

In the kitchen, the ability to find cooking tools and ingredients quickly — without battling clutter — can be the difference between cooking being a joy or a chore.

The design of the Boulevard 16 focuses on making life simpler. This 1,394-square-foot townhouse is presented as a show home at the northeast Calgary development Redstone Park by Streetside Developments.

It has three storeys, with a tandem two-car garage on the ground level.

The kitchen is a functional U-shaped design, putting every cabinet, drawer, or appliance a quick pivot away.

Every pot, pan, and piece of cookware has a home, with a generous volume of well-sized cabinets thoughtfully dispersed across the cooking space. A spacious walk-in corner pantry further supports its storage abilities.

The kitchen also features a stylish backsplash, pendant lighting, stainless steel appliances, including an over-the-range microwave, and a sink beneath a large rear-facing window.

kitchen’s eating bar backing on to the centrally located dining area. For large gatherings, the eating bar provides overflow seating, located close enough so nobody feels left out of the conversation.

The wall in the dining area has a window and is boxed out. This not only elevates the level of architectural interest of this space, but sets up an ideal spot for an accent wall — which the builder demonstrates in this show home.

The front-facing great room fills with sunshine. Large windows on its two outward walls and a glass insert in the door that steps out to its balcony all contribute to a pleasing level of natural light.

Measuring six foot seven inches by 16 foot two inches, this balcony is the ideal perch for a morning cup of coffee in the fresh air.

There are three bedrooms on the second level, two of which feature a walk-in closet.

The master bedroom, which boasts multiple windows, is 11 feet two inches by 10 feet and has an ensuite, as well.

The secondary bedrooms flank a laundry area with a washer and dryer, making it convenient for the bedroom’s occupants to unload and put clean clothes away.

This townhouse is one of two models at Redstone Park. The other is the two-bedroom 1,153-square-foot Avenue 14.

Redstone Park is located in the community of Redstone, located off Metis Trail, which is master-planned by Qualico Communities. Redstone is highlighted by long stretches of pathways and several inviting parks, including a park with outdoor fitness equipment for adults.

Residents of Redstone are less than a 10-minute drive to Crossiron Mills, and an even shorter distance to Stoney Trail.
