Exchange Meng for two Michaels

Re: ‘Time for us to take action’; Wife makes pleas for release of two Michaels held by China, June 23

After seeing Prime Minister Trudeau tell the nation the government is doing all humanly possible to secure the release of the two Michaels, my wife sent a letter to the editor saying it was high time Meng Wanzhou be deported to the U.S. At my peril, I have to disagree with her. Meng needs to go back to China and I have a plan. We need to do a prisoner exchange ... the two Michaels for Meng. Trudeau needs to step in here after sinking us to new depths on the world stage.

With the loss of the UN Security Council seat, we need him to show that Canada is a country where we stand up for what is right.

I imagine in his executive order tool box, he could come up with something to make the Meng debacle disappear. Get her a ticket. Get her on a plane and get her the heck out of here. We need our citizens back.
