VIRUS DIES FASTER IN SUNLIGHT
Research by retired virologists from the U.S. army and Food and Drug Administration showed that just 30 minutes of sunlight is enough to reduce the infectivity of coronavirus by 90 per cent. If an infected person coughed or sneezed onto an outdoor surface, the virus would be largely harmless within half an hour. During autumn, it would take about an hour and 17 minutes, and in spring, nearly three hours. In December, the virus could survive for more than five hours in the weak sunlight.
