Doing nothing not the answer
Re: Hill’s decision to lead Wexit bad for Canada; Former Harper whip gives movement to leave Confederation purpose and focus, Opinion, June 24
I know Licia Corbella is a big supporter of Alberta, but I am confused by her latest column.
She agrees that Alberta and Saskatchewan do not get a fair share within Confederation and that equalization and fiscal transfers take unfair advantage of Alberta. Like most Albertans, she agrees that separation is not the best solution.
So what is?
Albertans are crying out for an action plan that shows some promise.
Rachel Notley spent four years pandering to Justin Trudeau and it achieved nothing.
At least, Jason Kenney has restored Albertans’ pride by confronting our dictatorial prime minister. Even those of us who do not want separation are glad to see Jay Hill let the country know how fed up we are.
Doing nothing is the worst solution.
