Gotta brush ’em all! A new toothbrushing app called Pokémon Smile wants to get kids pumped about oral hygiene.

Through augmented reality, wee ones can wear virtual hats that resemble Pokémon characters like Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. The goal, though, is to brush their teeth thoroughly, which will rescue other Pokémon from cavity-causing bacteria.

A diagram in the screen’s lower right corner shows kids what section of their teeth to focus on, and a timer will count down the job. Parents can set reminders and user profiles for each child, as well.

Game elements reward consistency: Kids can catch more than 100 Pokémon, unlock more virtual hats as they go and collect Brushing Awards.

Pokémon Smile is available free on IOS and Android.
