Eleven-year-old Devan Dhesi called his shot.

During an evening round at Elbow Springs, Dhesi teed up his ball on a par-3 and proclaimed to his father Sandeep and two other playing partners, “Watch me get a hole-in-one.” And then he did. Dhesi launched a hybrid over the water on the eighth hole on the Mountain View Nine and his aim was outstanding from 167 yards away.

Braeden Burrell buried his first hole-in-one on No. 14 at Collicutt Siding in Crossfield. The 13-yearold Burrell was bang-on with an 8-iron from the white tees, measuring about 116 yards.

Grant Oh of Silver Springs shaved a couple of strokes during the first round of the Alberta Men’s Mid-amateur Championship, notching an ace on No. 14 at Coyote Creek. Oh’s special shot was a 4-hybrid from 188 yards away.

Irene Lee made the turn in style during a round at Hamptons, completing the 95-yard ninth hole with one strike of a 6-iron.

Devon Gryzko was perfect with a pitching wedge on the fifth hole at Links of Gleneagles, watching from an elevated perch 145 yards out as his one-hopper disappeared below ground level.

What a way to finish a round! The 18th hole at Willow Park is a par-3 and Dustin Mcgee must have saved his best swing for last — he aced that 175-yard assignment with a superb 7-iron.

Deb Payne and her hubby were playing a practice round for the Alberta Golf Tour major this past weekend at Kananaskis Country, and she would have loved to replicate this sweet shot during the tournament. Payne cruised through No. 6 on the Mount Lorette layout by firing a 5-wood from 143 yards out.

Dan Gee carded a hole-in-one during a Father’s Day round with family in K-country. Gee cranked a 9-iron over the water on No. 8 on the Mount Kidd Course and was right on target from 155 yards away.

Brenda Rogers will be saying good things about her 6-hybrid, her weapon of choice for a 92-yard pin-seeker on the seventh hole at Earl Grey. Also at Earl Grey, Sandy Park found the flag-stick on No. 9. Park thumped a 5-wood from 168 yards away.

Rod Maier made the seventh hole at Silver Springs seem easy. Four-hybrid was the right call on that 192-yard challenge.

Greg Gellert was one-and-done on the seventh at Valley Ridge, thanks to an 8-iron from 150 yards out.

Eric Law capped a spin of Glencoe’s Bridges Nine on a high note, acing the 122-yard finisher with one pop of a pitching wedge. Also at Glencoe, Ian Leew drained a 178yard tee-ball on the fourth hole on the Lakes Nine, while Susan Harris made short work of No. 6 on that same setup, thanks to a 5-hybrid that covered 130 yards.

David Hall didn’t require his putter on No. 13 at Douglasdale, instead finishing with a nifty 9-iron from 110 yards away.

Fred Zdanowicz aced No. 11 on the Raven Course at Priddis Greens, thanks to a precise pitching wedge from 127 yards out. Also at Priddis Greens, Gerald Stoddart smacked a 7-iron on No. 15 on the Hawk and then made the 165-yard commute to retrieve his ball from the bottom of the cup.
