Crosswalks painted then ripped up

-

As a resident of Canyon Meadows, I was excited that the City of Calgary was planing one of the main access roads to this community in preparation for new asphalt.

What really upsets me is that three days prior, a road painting crew painted all of the crosswalks on the same stretch of road.

The remnants of the three-day-old crosswalk paint is now in the back of a truck sent to be recycled.

Why does this city continue to waste taxpayer money when the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing?

Mr. Mayor, you preached in your letter to the taxpayer of April 27 that you identified over $740 million in cuts and savings to our budget.

That’s tough to understand when we continue to see mismanagement of our tax dollars by this administration.
