Calbridge introduces luxurious walkout estate homes in tranquil Cranston’s Riverstone

- KAREN RUDOLPH DURRIE

Cranston’ s Riverstone is a tucked-away oasis surrounded by nature’s bounty, a quiet community that offers an “out of the city” feel while being minutes from every amenity you could want or need.

It’s in this quiet neighbourhood where Calbridge has launched a brand new show home in Phase 76 of Riverstone, with a gorgeous selection of walkout estate home lots, all backing onto Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Bow River, with southwest-facing backyards, and views of the river and mature forest.

“These are views you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else within the city. These new lots are 44 feet and 46 feet wide, and an average of 170 feet deep,” says Ariana Kelly, marketing manager for Calbridge.

Nine estate lots have been released in this phase, and Calbridge recently opened a brand new show home in its Calbridge Collection, the Aston II bungalow model.

The stunning, open-concept home features a foyer that opens above to an optional loft area with a vaulted ceiling that hosts a bonus room and wet bar.

The loft model has 2,215 square feet on the main and loft levels, and an additional

1,392 square feet of developed living space in the basement.

The main floor of the front-drive home has a den, master bedroom, 1.5 baths, including a spa-inspired ensuite, and an open kitchen, dining and great room area.

The floor- to- ceiling kitchen cabinetry is a complementary mix of warm

wood and white, offset by white subway tile backsplash, and white granite countertops.

A gas range and top-ofthe-line stainless steel appliances make it a great space for cooking, and the oversized island has enough seating for four.

The living room features a sleek fireplace and mantel,

dark wood ceiling accents and a spectacular view of trees and hills through the wall of windows and doors leading to the back deck.

The developed basement has two additional bedrooms, full bath, media and games areas, gym and dog wash. Other optional layouts can add up to three additional bedrooms.

The bungalow is proving appealing to a certain demographic that likes to enjoy the leisure and luxury afforded by the Cranston’s Riverstone experience.

“The Aston II is a great fit for downsizers or empty nesters who are looking for the convenience of mainfloor living, but still need that space to entertain and host family and friends,” Kelly says, adding they’ve seen an increase in demand for bungalow models in the past few years.

Calbridge offers five other bungalow models in Riverstone, with a range of square footage and floor plans. It also has a variety of lots in other phases of Cranston’s Riverstone, the vast majority of which also back onto either Fish Creek Provincial Park or the Bow River. There are 25 models ranging from 1,600 to 3,780 square feet, including bungalows, two-storey homes and double- and triple-car garage homes.

Riverstone residents love the lower housing density and feeling of serenity and privacy of the area.

“Riverstone really embraces all of the natural elements surrounding it, so there is no shortage of biking and walking paths, playgrounds or fishing spots,” Kelly says.

Just a stone’s throw from the area are the schools, grocery stores, restaurants and professional services of Cranston and Seton, with the South Health Campus hospital and Brookfield YMCA minutes away.

The Aston II with the loft option starts in the $770,000s including GST, and without the loft option starts in the $740,000s with GST.
