Cohen gives church $100,000

Sacha Baron Cohen has pledged $100,000 to the Oklahoma church of “babysitter” Jeanise Jones, after she made a scene-stealing appearance in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Jones became a fan favourite after appearing as a “babysitter” hired to watch Borat's 15-yearold daughter, played by 24-year-old Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova. Jones was reportedly told she would be appearing in a documentary about child brides and that the film would largely only be seen overseas. Jones's pastor, Derrick Scobey, previously set up a Gofundme page in her honour. That page has raised over US$140,000.
