Two horses were killed but no drivers were seriously inured after the animals were struck by vehicles near Morley on Monday night.

Cpl. Laurel Scott with the Alberta RCMP said Cochrane RCMP were called around 11:30 p.m. to Highway 1 between Highway 40 and Ozada Road.

She said two horses that were loose on the highway were struck, one by a semi-truck and the other by a second vehicle.

Members of Morley security helped RCMP get other horses that were loose back into a field.

Scott said there were no reports of anyone being taken to hospital from the scene.
