Property Brothers: Forever Home sets its sights on Calgary renos

- ERIC VOLMERS

Drew and Jonathan Scott are looking for Calgarians who want to stay put in their “forever home.”

The Scott brothers, who grew up in B.C. but began their television, renovation and real-estate empire in Calgary when they were university students here, plan to shoot at least parts of the next season of Property Brothers: Forever Home in Cowtown. The series, a spinoff of the original Property Brothers series that began in 2011, finds the brothers helping families see the potential of the house they are already living in. Production is expected to start in Calgary in the spring.

The production team is looking for 14 families who live in Calgary and surrounding communities.

Those chosen will receive a new design/renovation from the brothers and their team completed over an accelerated timeline of six to eight weeks. Successful applicants will have to have a renovation budget of at least $100,000, be willing to move out of the house for the renovation period and be available for roughly eight days of shooting over a six- to eight-month period.
