TOK BEAUTY NATURAL BLACK MASCARA

They say: A made-in-canada mascara that is cruelty-free, gluten-free and vegan. The “semi-waterproof” formula features ingredients such as “horsetail plant to strengthen your lashes, and pea protein to prevent breakage.”

We say: Our tester loved the sleek sustainable packaging, which is not only recyclable but also has biodegradable elements. The mascara wand was small enough to allow for close application around the lash line. The colour was surprisingly pigmented and provides a nice, natural look. $36 | Tokbeauty.ca

KÉRASTASE FRESH AFFAIR

They say: A dry shampoo formula featuring a silicone-free fine powder to absorb excess oil on the scalp and hair. The product features a long-lasting neroli oil scent that lasts for 24 hours. We say: Dry shampoos are the key to extending the life of a hairstyle in between washes. And this Kérastase option definitely does the trick. Our tester sprayed the formula on the roots of her two-day-old blowout and was pleased with how well it absorbed any oil and left hair looking fresh. The smell is luxurious and our tester loved how there was no chalky residue left behind by the powder.

LEMONGRASS HOUSE UPLIFT COLLECTION

They say: A new lineup featuring five product releases from

Lemongrass

House, which were developed in collaboration with singer-songwriter Chantal

Kreviazuk. The products are handcrafted, all-natural and cruelty-free and a portion of the sales goes toward

War Child, a humanitarian organization that supports children impacted by war and violence.

We say: Our tester tried the Uplift Purifying Fabric Spray ($21), a fabric spray made with all-natural, garment-safe ingredients. The product provides fabrics with a nice boost of the slightly sweet floral scent created by Kreviazuk for the brand.
