SENIORS SIGNING UP
Seniors arrive at the old Greyhound terminal to receive their COVID-19 vaccination shots on Friday. The vaccination for the novel coronavirus has been available for Albertans ages 75 and older since yesterday. Recipients must book an appointment.
Subscribers to the Calgary Herald in print, online and via the epaper are now eligible for the new federal Digital News Subscription Tax Credit.
If you are a paying subscriber, you can claim on your personal income tax and benefit return for the years 2020 to 2024.
The credit is designed to apply to digital subscriptions. However if you are a print subscriber to the Calgary Herald, you can claim the credit using the qualifying digital subscription rate of $14 per month plus GST of five per cent. The credit is applicable for every month you have received the print edition starting in January 2020.
All receipts for the tax credit will be emailed to you between March 8 and 19. If you want to supply or update your email address on your home delivery subscription account, please visit calgaryherald. com/taxcredit and fill in the email form. The deadline to update your email is March 4, 2021.
If you do not have an email address, please reach out to a family member or friend who can provide an email address on your account in order to obtain the tax receipt. The deadline to provide an email address is March 4, 2021.
