Taking care of man's best friend

-

We live on a corner lot, opposite a park, and a lot of folks walk their dogs past our home.

During last year's hot spell, I put out a dog water dish beside the sidewalk, with a four-litre milk jug of water beside it. I fill the jug when it gets low and use it to top off the water dish, and a fair number of the dog owners will also use it to refill the dish when their dog has had a drink. The dish itself is just part of a milk jug, and I won't be distressed if it goes missing.

I suggest others think about doing the same thing during the coming heat wave.
