JAYS TRIO VOTED TO ALL-STAR TEAM

Three Toronto Blue Jays are going to Major League Baseball's all-star game. First baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., pictured, second baseman Marcus Semien and outfielder Teoscar Hernandez were voted to the American League squad by fans, MLB announced Thursday night. Guerrero, 22, is having a breakout season. He leads the AL in on-base plus slugging (1.108) and runs batted in (66). He's also tied for second in home runs (26) and owns the third highest batting average in the league (.336). Semien, 30, leads AL second basemen in home runs with 20. He's hitting .291, with 52 RBIS and a .905 OPS. He's also stolen 10 bases and only been caught once. Hernandez, 28, went 2-for-4 on Thursday to lift his average to .302. He's got 11 homers, 47 RBIS and an .835 OPS. The 2021 MLB all-star game will be played July 13 at Coors Field in Denver.
