Charges laid after woman grabbed in washroom

A 39-year-old man has been charged in relation to a voyeurism incident at Northland Village shopping centre.

On Monday, a woman entered the women's washroom and went into one of the stalls, noting another one was already occupied. While there, a man crawled underneath the stall partitions and grabbed the woman by her feet, police said in a news release.

The woman was able to get away, and then contacted police.

Eugene Linklater was arrested and charged with one count each of voyeurism, assault and mischief. He is scheduled to appear in court July 21.

Police say they are actively investigat­ing other similar allegation­s in the area.
