PRIVATE SCHOOL HELPS CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES THRIVE

“We’re a designated special education private school for students in grades 3 to 12, all of whom have diagnosed learning disabilities, and we work to ensure everyone reaches their true potential,” says

Simon Williams, executive co-director at Foothills Academy. “Our teachers and educational assistants are specially trained and they go above and beyond to meet all our students’ academic, social and emotional needs.”

The staff at Foothills Academy continually receives specialized training to remain up to date with the best practices in learning disabilities and education, says Williams. Teachers also access additional support from other professionals. This can include working with a team of psychologists, intervention experts, literacy and numeracy specialists or occupational and speech therapists.
