Pace­set­ter by Ster­ling Homes has neatly dis­guised sin­gle-fam­ily homes as large and affordable du­plexes.

“At 1,940 square feet, the Ho­gan 3 is more like a sin­gle-fam­ily home,” she says. “You have an open-con­cept floor­plan, three bed­rooms, plus a bonus room up­stairs and dou­ble front-at­tached garage.”

The Caspian is one size up at 1,994 sq. ft., with a main-floor flex room and four spa­cious bed­rooms, plus bonus room on the sec­ond floor. It also has a dou­ble front­drive at­tached garage and op­tional side en­trance to ac­com­mo­date fam­i­lies of ev­ery size.

Pace­set­ter doesn’t build a com­mon wall be­tween each home — it builds two walls.

“There’s ac­tu­ally a space be­tween each one. From the out­side it ap­pears the homes are at­tached, but we’ve cre­ated some sep­a­ra­tion, says Evashke­vich. “It’s ex­tra as­sur­ance that you’re not be­ing dis­turbed by your neigh­bours.”
