Po­lice hope to spark new leads from new in­for­ma­tion on woman’s killing

Moun­ties are re­leas­ing new in­for­ma­tion in the 2015 slay­ing of 43-year-old Vic­to­ria (Vickie) Joanne crow Shoe, whose body was found on the shores of the Old­man river reser­voir.

rcMP say the Leth­bridge woman was last seen alive on aug. 31, 2015, and in­ves­ti­ga­tors with the ma­jor crimes unit be­lieve her body was put in the reser­voir shortly there­after.

Her body was found on Sept. 13, 2015, at the Windy Point boat Launch, just north of Pincher creek.

Her un­clothed body was be­lieved to be bound by a piece of Kern­man­tle con­struc­tion rope be­fore she was put into the wa­ter, rcMP said.

the rope has two black trac­ers in the sheath weave.

When last seen alive, crow Shoe was wear­ing a black

Fox rac­ing pullover hoodie and black pants. She’d been car­ry­ing a pur­ple bag, and/or an over-the-shoul­der duf­fel bag.

rcMP say the ma­jor crimes unit de­ployed sev­eral re­sources on the reser­voir, in­clud­ing a dive team. they are ask­ing any­one with in­for­ma­tion to call them at 403-343-5582.

Po­lice be­lieve this length of rope was used to bind the body of Vic­to­ria Joanne Crow Shoe. The rope is of kern­man­tle con­struc­tion, white with two black trac­ers in the sheath weave.
