Kim K makes nervous return to Paris
Keeping Up with the Kardashians
It was two years ago that Kim Kardashian was famously robbed at gunpoint for an estimated $5 million during Paris fashion week. And for the first time since, the media mogul made her return to the French city in support of her and Kanye West’s dear friend Virgil Abloh, who was debuting his first fashion collection there as the art director for Louis Vuitton menswear. “I complain about people I’ve done business with missing important moments of mine, moments of ours, so I can’t do the same thing to Virgil,” Kanye said, convincing his wife to make the trip. “I don’t want to put any more pressure on you to go to Paris.” Kim eventually decided that joining her husband for the trek over the pond was the “right thing to do” and her worries were soon set on more trivial things, like what she was going to wear while sitting in the front row of the most talked-about fashion show of the year. After pulling up late wearing a turquoise ensemble from the collection, Kim gushed about the clothes, while Kanye and Virgil shared an emotional embrace on the catwalk. Kim concluded that the only way to get over bad memories was to create new ones. “I think I could go back, and I could spend more time and feel safe and comfortable,” she said.
The Top 8 semifinalists solidified their spot in the competition and a major surprise results show rocked the studio during an eventful week on The Voice. Following an epic set of performances by the remaining singers, it was 39-year-old Dave Fenley from Blake Shelton’s team as well as 22-year-old DeAndre Nico and 13-year-old Reagan Strange from Adam Levine’s team who wound up in the bottom three. While the vocalists had one last shot to sing for their lives and earn enough viewer votes to stay in the competition, Reagan gave up her opportunity to hit the stage during the Instant Save because she was sick. Adam pleaded with home-viewers to give her a chance anyway, even over DeAndre, who had belted an emotional rendition of John Legend’s All of Me just moments before. “There is an unbelievably talented little girl right now, who is not able to fight for her position on this show, and you (DeAndre) were fortunate tonight to be able to sing,” Adam said. “I cannot sing for Reagan. I have two little girls at home and the thought of breaking her heart by not urging everyone to give this girl a shot, to go and redeem herself next week, would be too far beneath me.” The fans listened and voted Reagan through to the semifinals as Dave and DeAndre were cut from the competition.
