RALLY CRY

Calgary Sun - - COMMENT -

Coun. (Jeromy) Farkas, your (column) in the Sun (Thursday) ups the bar for the type of boldness, common sense, initiative, drive and call to arms that Calgary needs and got us to where we used to be as a city and economy. Other city politicians can be similarly resourceful and action-oriented. This is an example how council can provide Calgarians with hope and a fighting spirit to continue the good fight and that our jobs, economy, mortgages and life investments will not slide irrevocably away. I call on other councillors to set aside any politics and support Mr. Farkas’ initiatives as a team and for the good of our city. I do not live in Mr. Farkas’ ward but support his refusal to lie down and stop fighting for Calgarians. D. THOMPSON (If they are not ready to fight for Calgary with a symbolic gesture, maybe they should just move on.)
