André Pelchat,
author of “Macabre Discovery,” is a freelance writer, tour guide, and lecturer who lives in L’Avenir,
Quebec. He has written several articles for Canada’s History and is the author of books including Histoires à dormir debout! and Les années dangereuses, le Québec à l’âge des révolutions (1760–1805). Pelchat also gives lectures for museums and libraries in Quebec as well as for L’Université du Troisième Âge, a service that provides university courses without exams or a degree to people who are over fifty.
