- Stan Skrzeszewski London, Ontario George VI of the United Kingdom · Canada · Austria · Ontario · London · Eugene Melnyk · London

I read with great interest “The Country of Half Welcomes,” by George Melnyk, in the August-September 2018 issue of Canada’s

History. I confess that I pick up my copy at my favourite magazine outlet in London, Ontario. There are not many outlets left, and I like to support them. I identify with those who received a half welcome when they came to Canada, although I readily admit that Canada has been very good to me. I came to Canada in 1948 and am a descendant of one of those thousands of soldiers who fought for the Polish Free Army during the Second World War.
