Coronavirus sacks CFL season

-

After a century’s worth of title games, the Canadian Football League was unable to crown a Grey Cup champion in 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the league’s season, breaking a streak of one hundred Grey Cup games going back to 1920. The Grey Cup was first presented in 1909. The only other times it was not awarded was during a four-year period between 1916 and 1919 due to the First World War and the following influenza epidemic.
