Celebrate the 350th anniversar­y of the Hudson Bay Company and Manitoba’s 150th anniversar­y of joining confederat­ion! Travel round-trip from Winnipeg to Churchill by rail to experience the annual polar bear migration on this 7-day, 6-night tour as we ride through the prairies, Canadian Shield, Taiga and Arctic biomes! Enjoy a 3 day, 2 night hotel stay to visit and explore Churchill and region. A highlight will be the day tour on the world-famous Tundra Buggy along the shores of Hudson Bay as the bears await freeze up. The package also includes a town introducti­on tour featuring a visit to the Cape Merry National Historic Site with its views of the Churchill River where it empties into Hudson Bay, a half day tour along the shoreline of Hudson Bay to the former rocket range to learn about the area’s heritage and ecology, and search for more wildlife with local guides sharing their passion for the region. Visits to heritage attraction­s include the Itsanitaq Museum, Parks Canada Northern Manitoba Interpreti­ve Centre, and the Winnipeg Railway Museum. Includes all meals on the train, prepared by VIA Rail chefs and enjoyed in the dining car with its large windows, most meals while in Churchill, tour guide, a detailed tour informatio­n kit and more.
