Michael Dupuis is the author of “Rising from the Ashes.” Dupuis is a retired history teacher, consultant, writer, and author whose books focus on the role played by Canadian journalist­s in covering major historical events.

Carolyn Harris is the author of “Queen of Canada.” Harris is an instructor in history at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in European history from Queen’s University.

Janice Forsyth and Alexandra Giancarlo are the authors of “We Were the Lucky Ones.” Forsyth is a member of the Fisher River Cree Nation and a professor in Indigenous land-based physical culture and wellness at the University of British Columbia’s School of Kinesiolog­y. Giancarlo, a multidisci­plinary settler scholar, is an assistant professor in socio-cultural studies of sport and physical activity at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Kinesiolog­y.

Christophe­r Moore wrote “Royal Dissent.” Moore is a contributi­ng editor with Canada’s History and a Governor General’s Award winning writer who has been presenting Canadian history to non-specialist audiences for many years.

André Pelchat wrote “At Cross Purposes.” Pelchat lives in L’Avenir, Quebec, and works as a lecturer on historical topics. The author of two books, he has been a contributo­r to Canada’s History for more than twenty years.

Janice Tibbetts wrote “Challengin­g Bill 21.” Tibbetts is a faculty member at Carleton University’s School of Journalism and Communicat­ion. She teaches a wide variety of courses, including a senior seminar on covering legal issues.
