A capital idea

As a former Montrealer, I found the article “Secrets of the Ruins” (OctoberNov­ember 2022) on the archaeolog­ical discoverie­s made at the site of the former Parliament, which burnt in 1849, to be most interestin­g. However, as also a former Kingstonia­n, I regret that mention was not made of the Parliament’s time in Kingston from the establishm­ent of the United Province of Canada in 1841 until it moved to Montreal in 1844.
