sigmasport.com With 64 functions, including a sophisticated power-output feature, the Sigma Rox 8.1 is the ideal cycle computer for riders seeking a variety of training data to improve their performance. A large easy-to-read screen can display 10 functions that are fed to it by a digitally encoded three-channel wireless system. While many of the computer’s features can be found on other top-end units, it’s the power-output function that makes the Rox 8.1 stand out. Sigma uses a complex algorithm that analyzes the type of bike, the rider’s position, the rider’s physical characteristics (weight, height and shoulder width) as well as speed, incline and cadence to determine the rider’s power output. While it may not be as accurate as some of the top-of-the line strain-gauge systems, it is significantly less expensive and avoids any component compatibility issues.
