The kmc Cyclocross Festival, a.k.a. the Providence Cyclocross Festival in Rhode Island, concludes New England’s Holy Week of cyclocross. Raphaël Gagné (p.96), who is returning to cyclocross racing this season, plans to be there. Amen.

Two national track championsh­ips in one year? Not exactly. The 2014 championsh­ips were held in January because of constructi­on delays at the new velodrome in Milton, Ont. The mapleleaf jerseys for 2015 will be awarded throughout these four days.

The cycling action in Richmond, Va., does stop after the road cycling world championsh­ips (p.14) in September. On this day, hundreds of riders will ride through the city and its surroundin­g countrysid­e in the Tour of Richmond Gran Fondo, which has 101-mile (163-km), 58-mile (94-km) and 26-mile (42-km) routes.

Lori-ann Muenzer, the only Canadian to have won an Olympic gold medal in cycling (sprint, Athens 2004), gets officially inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.

The national cyclocross championsh­ips return to The Forks in Winnipeg. Find out how the course has been improved for this year’s race on p.14. The day after the championsh­ips, riders, both Canadian and internatio­nal, can compete for valuable uci points on offer at the Manitoba Grand Prix, a C2-level race.

What do you do when Halloween falls on a Saturday? Show up to the cyclocross race in costume. CX races across the country on this day include Beans ’n’ Barley (Calgary) and Psycho Cross (Winnipeg).
