Check the nutrition label on protein powders carefully. You want to find one that minimizes undesirable ingredients, such as sugars, artificial sweeteners and mystery colours or flavours. Ideally, the only ingredient should be the protein powder. Some brands also encourage you to use more than what is needed. In most cases, 20 g of protein per serving is plenty.
