Cheers to Cranky

-

I love Cranky’s column. This is the first page I read when I get my magazine. In an ideal world, I would read it, on my couch, kids asleep, with a nice craft ipa or a nice red wine. I really like the way he tells his stories. I remember so many of them, and I read them just once, most of them. For my top three Cranky columns, third place is the one about the time he mountain biked with the crazy guy wearing a visor made from a two-litre pop bottle. In second place is the one he talks about getting a fixie and improving the way he pedals. The No. 1 column is the one in which he ate too many s’mores and drank too much red wine in Muskoka and had the gravel ride of his life.

I am always afraid he won't have more stories to tell because of his injuries, twins or because he is just old! But more seriously, I love his work and hope he knows that there are more readers like me. If one day, he publishes a compilation of all his articles, I would buy it even though I’ve read every one.
