Ride through cowboy country southwest of Calgary on freshly paved roads as you take in views of the Rocky Mountains. Fans of the Tour of Alberta may recognize elements of the race route won by Cadel Evans. “We’ll take riders up ‘The Road to Nepal,’ a long, gradual climb,” says organizer Tom Bamford. The event is hosted at the familyfriendly Granary Road, a farmers market and park with exhibits for kids who are joining “big kids” (that is, their parents) on a big day out. Nine months in the making, the event shouldn’t be missed.
