Garneau Garibaldi C Prohibition $4,600

Aptly named after Italian General Giuseppe Garibaldi, who was known as the “hero of two worlds,” Garneau’s new Garibaldi pays homage to a man known for his ability to unify people. The bike, outfitted with 650b Easton EA70 AX disc wheels and 47c tires, can connect you with just about every road and even some trails. The carbonframe Garibaldi C Prohibition has a unique colour with a leather seat and matching handlebar tape. The classic sram Rival 1x11 drivetrain with matching hydraulic disc brakes and wheels make this a simple, but lightweight performer on any surface. ( garneau.com)

T-lab All-terrain X3 Dura-ace $8,400

Designed and manufactured in Montreal, the T-lab X3 is a titanium do-it-all adventure road bike that offers the performance and features expected out of carbon frames. From its tapered, integrated head tube to the unique shape of the seat tube, down to its BB86 bottom bracket, back to the asymmetrical chainstays and finally to the proprietary one-piece convertible dropout system allowing for a variety of wheel standards, the All-terrain X3 is a remarkable piece of made-to-order engineering. The Shimano Dura-ace 9100 build featured here includes the full Dura-ace treatment plus Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels with 25-mm-wide Mavic tires. Should you want to upgrade, however, the 2019 frames will accommodate meaty 50-mm 650b or 44-mm 700c tires. The All-terrain X3 also comes outfitted with Ritchey cockpit parts and a Selle San Marco saddle. ( t-lab-bikes.com)

Pinarello Grevil+ $8,100 (frameset)

The new Pinarello Grevil+, like most of the Italian bike company’s machines, looks like it should be hanging in an art gallery. Of course, that’s the last place Pinarello wants this bike to be resting. The Grevil+ blends form and function with an asymmetric T1100 1K carbon frame mated to a T700 carbon fork. The Grevil+ allows 12 x 100 mm thru axles at the front and 12 x 142 mm at the rear for strong wheels that can handle anything. Pinarello’s Flexstay technology gives the bike some cushion, which can be bolstered with tires as wide as 42 mm. Aerodynamics have also been taken into consideration with the company’s fork-flap front caliper shrounds, along with an integrated aero seatpost. The Grevil+ and the less expensive Grevil, which uses T700 carbon, are available in six sizes and six colour options. ( unoimports.com)

Opus Horizon 2 $2,900

Known for its high value-to-performance ratio, Opus continues that trend with the Horizon 2 carbon gravel bike. Using Gamma 30 carbon, which balances performance, comfort and durability, the Horizon frameset has progressive geometry – throughout six sizes – for a comfortable riding position over long distances and any terrain. The Horizon 2 build includes a Shimano 105 drivetrain with Promax twin-piston disc brakes, which bring the Alex Boondocks tubeless-ready wheels to a quick stop. They’re wrapped with 33-mm-wide Vittoria tires, while the rest of the build kit includes an fsa crankset and bottom bracket, Opus stem and seatpost, X-race Aero handlebar and a Selle Italia saddle. The Horizon frame also comes equipped with rack and fender mounts, making for a versatile platform. ( opusbike.com)—dandakin
